Our Brother Sir Knight; James Potenza, from Robert H. Weaver Council #12005 and Bishop Blanchette Assembly #3044 has passed away. It was just a few weeks ago; when we had our Super Bowl Sunday Pancake Breakfast at Our Lady of Mercy (OLM) and you were helping us in the kitchen and proudly wearing your Cubs shirt; “Raise the Flag”.
We were all shocked by the death of our Brother Sir Knight, you were a valued part of our Council. Here in in a song, is a Requiem for a Cubs fan:
Now you are with some of the greatest Cub Players, announcers and fans of all time; Ernie Banks, Ron Santo, Jack Brickhouse, Harry Caray and of course our former Pastor Father Don McLaughlin who we all toasted yesterday; at OLM on Saint Patrick’s Day weekend, with Guinness beer, in his honor.
Let’s “Raise the Flag” again James!!
