It was a beautiful day for our Annual Memorial Day Parades. In Aurora, the Aurora Fire Department had a large American flag displayed.
The Aurora Police lead the way with their Color Guard,
and their Honor Guard.
In Naperville; our Naperville Councils; in the Bishop Blanchette Assembly, had a Honor Guard.
In Woodridge our Sir Knights; from the Bishop Blanchette Assembly, also had a Honor Guard.
I was at a cross walk by the reviewing stand; in Aurora, and had a great view and enjoyed Patriotic Music.
The Aurora Parade had the best High School Band in the Country; the Wabaunsee Valley Warriors.
And the Wabaunsee Valley High School (WVHS) Color Guard still has the most talented Ladies (Legend has that some WVHS Color Guard members first trained with martial arts weapons; with their father, before they learned to twirl their rifles & swords; in the air, on the WVHS Football Field).
The WVHS band is Blessed since Our Lady of Mercy (OLM) used to hold Mass in the WVHS Auditorium before the Church was built.
Back home; our Veterans were honored,
especially; Veterans who served in the US Army in WWI and who served in the US Navy in WWII.
