On March 1, 2025, the 4th Degree of the Knights of Columbus, in the Northern District of Illinois, Marquette Province, conducted an Exemplification of Patriotism, for the 125th Anniversary of the 4th Degree, at the Jacob Henry Mansion, Joliet, IL.
Faithful Navigators James Almeida Jr. of Dr. Thomas A. Dooley Assembly #209 and Robert Pellegrini of Bishop Blanchette Assembly #3044 took the stage for Master’s Award presentations.
Commander Matt Borgard; of Dooley Assembly #209, received the first Master’s award. Commander Matt has preformed a lot of volunteer work for the Veterans’ Home at Manteno including buying food for the veterans.
The second Master’s Award winner was given to Sir Knight “D” Thurman; of Dooley Assembly #209, who volunteers with the assembly in many aspects including Veterans, Respect Life, Membership Drives and he is the Dooley Assembly shirts and gear guy. Illinois State Treasurer; Mike Blackburn, also joined the Sir Knights on Stage.
